From the intuition of using a unconventional material as the protagonist conventional and from an ancestral production process was born JUNO, minimal design with a great aesthetic impact. The project was created by designer Alessandro Dubini in synergy with Mandelli1953: the concept was born from the desire to use as the protagonist is an unconventional material for making handles.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The production process recalls the ancient technique of forging with molds and casting a solid body: the handle
Juno, whose name is inspired by the word “moon” and Juno – divinity of Roman mythology linked to the lunar cycle
– and perhaps also to the appearance of the moon’s surface that recalls the effect of this handle, was achieved
by pouring liquid cement into steel molds. The final aesthetic result is of great visual impact,
but at the same time the design is very clean and minimal. The materiality of the concrete is mediated by the treatment
with nanotechnology that makes it homogeneous to the eye and to the touch.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Even concrete can be colored with pigmentations that in this case recall the delicate colors of nature, from shades of gray to those of sand, up to powder pink: Ash, Graphite, Dove, Sand, Blush are the possibilities of Juno.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

With the Juno project, the concrete handle by designer Alessandro
\nDubini, Mandelli 1953 was awarded the prestigious Good Design award
\nAward 2017. An important result that rewards the constant commitment made
\nto the study of new design solutions and the quality of a production
